This was a wonderful long Wisconsin weekend. In a warm, golden, autumn breeze my youngest brother, David, married his middle school sweetheart Emily. (Just in time so I was not forced to take her in as a sister wife. That's how much I heart her.) In shades of yellow, gray, black, and white, they said 'I do'. I thought about all the people who love them gathered to watch their promise to love each other forever, and I was reminded of all the reasons I love the new Mr. and Mrs. Blascoe:
1. Their sense of humor - I'm talking make you laugh in any situation and fall out of your chair while doing it.
2. Their inspiring creativity and refusal to settle for ordinary
3. Their innocence and fresh perspective on life
4. Their maturity to listen and strive to understand other points of view
5. Their honest faith that asks 'why?', 'how?', and 'now what?'
6. Their encouraging love for each other that says, 'I see all of who you are and I like it.'
This professional friend took some amazing photos, but you'll have to settle for some of my amateur shots of the fabulous details...
Best wishes Emily and David......best wishes.
