It's the second month of The Photo Challenge Next Door with my good blogging buddy and neighbor, Kelsey. We're going manual with our cameras, and posting our results every month.
This month, Mr. Ladd and I spent two different weekends in the mountains in cozy cabins, so there were lots of photo ops and chances to work on my DSLR skills. This month's photo was taken on a particularly relaxing afternoon in a cabin in Pinetop, AZ (Full post coming soon). Buddy is especially photogenic, so he's a great test subject. I love how I was able to focus on those big brown eyes with Mr. Ladd lounging in the background. I'm starting to get the hang of setting up the camera to capture the right depth of field.
This is my absolute favorite time of year, and I've often been frustrated with my inability to capture that holiday magic with my camera. So this next month of twinkly lights and jingle bells, my goal is patience and an ever present camera.
